SLP Show Update (2)

I've had a really positive response since my first update on the status of the show, so thanks to everyone who has been in touch.

The responses have meant that I'm now hoping to be back by the end of the month, with a show recording planned for 26 February with Tim Griffiths of League 1 ground announcing fame. Tim is in line to become one of a number of regular co-hosts that will join me on sort of a rota basis over the upcoming months. If everything goes great Down Under and Leeds lift the World Club Challenge then I also hope to have a shortened show a week before that, with Rhinos fan and SLP music man Rich Wilkinson. Either way, SLP should be back in your ears sooner than later.

The show moving forward will be a little different, with most shows being recorded remotely over the internet, rather than in-person. Lots of podcasts work this way already, but it's new territory for SLP. Another new thing for SLP is I'm taking your donations to help support the show!

You can make a one-off donation to the show now using PayPal HERE.

You can also have your business become an SLP sponsor. We will be offering sponsorship for each of the main three show segments - News, Match Reviews and Predictions - for an initial price of £5 per show, with a minimum four show commitment. In return, you'll get name checks during the shows you sponsor, a link to your website in each show bio, and a link in a Facebook and Twitter post for each show too.

Email me at superleaguepod@gmail.com for more details if you're interested, but be quick as the Match Reviews segment has already been snapped up and interest has been registered from others too at this early stage! UPDATE: initial sponsorship slots have all been taken.

I'll be using the money for new equipment and software, to increase our hosting space so more shows can stay up longer, and for any other costs that come up on the show in it's new format. Anything left over will go towards donations to community clubs, following on from our link-ups with Teignbridge Trojans and Myton Under 8s in recent times.

Whilst we're away, you can still catch our 2018 season preview show HERE and see how way off things we already seem to be after only one round of games!

Thanks for your ongoing support!

Mark
